Amidst all the Lynyrd Skynyrd tragedies, he’s not often spoken of. Even the headlines that announced his death misidentified him as a former backup guitarist. He’s been called the “forgotten roadie.” Ironically, if he’d been on that plane that crashed in 1977, he might still be alive.

  1. Loved your post about the “forgotten Lynyrd Skynyrd roadie” Chuck Flowers. Sad, especially your closing line: “Time closes up so quickly on the other side of us.” The 1970s hold many memories for me, a Daytona kid who went to his first rock concert in Jax. Good times, complicated times, and not everyone made it out alive.
